After making the recommended changes intellisense worked great until I changed to the minified version of jquery.The way I finally got it to work correctly for the minified file was to rename the vsdoc from jquery-1.6.1to jquery-1.6.1.Sometime it happens with most of us when Visual Studio stops showing the intellisense menu.
Most of the time it happens when the license of some Visual Studio plugin expires or when you uninstall any productivity plugins like Re Sharper.
It makes you annoyed to think what is the root cause here.
